Stories of Hope

A Journey to Sobriety

I spent years trapped in a cycle of dependency that I couldn't break on my own. Through Celebrate Recovery, I found a 'forever family' that pointed me to Jesus as my source of strength. Today, I am walking in sobriety and peace.

— Anonymous Brother in Christ

Learning to Trust Again

For years, I built walls around my heart because I had been hurt too many times. I expected people to leave, disappoint me, or betray me. Those trust issues didn't just affect my relationships with others, they affected my relationship with God.

At Celebrate Recovery, I found a safe place to be honest about my fears. Through God's Word, accountability, and the love of others, I began to understand that not everyone would hurt me, and that God had been faithful all along. I'm still learning to trust, but today I no longer let fear control my life.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5

Victory Over Control

My hang-ups with control kept me from experiencing the full joy of the Lord. The steps found at Celebrate Recovery helped me identify the areas of life that I was holding control over and truly hand my full life over to God. Also brought me a forever family I can call on to help during my times of struggle.

Who is Celebrate Recovery for?

The short answer is: EVERYONE!

No one should have to face their pain alone.

We are a grace-filled community of strugglers who courageously enter this safe and beautiful space to get honest about our pain, and the negative ways we may see ourselves, God, and others. In this process, we come to accept that some of the habits we have developed to escape our pain may have hurt us and those close to us.

It is a biblically based approach to help us achieve long lasting recovery by healing our hurts, guiding us toward new healthy truths, and developing life-giving habits.

Healing Through the Beatitudes

At Celebrate Recovery, we look to the words of Jesus in the Beatitudes to find real hope and healing. These truths are woven into the 8 Principles of Celebrate Recovery and the 12 Steps we walk through together. As we follow these steps, we learn to surrender our hurts, habits, and hang-ups to Christ and discover the freedom only He can give.

Understanding Step Studies

A Step Study is a personal journey through the 12 Steps in a safe, small group environment. While our Friday night large groups are about sharing, a Step Study is where the 'heavy lifting' of recovery happens. Groups are gender-specific and stay together until the workbooks are completed.

  • Work through four study guides based on the 8 Principles.
  • Deeply explore personal hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
  • Build lasting relationships with a small group of trusted individuals.
  • Focus on the specific actions required for true life change.
  • Experience a safe place to be completely honest about your past and present.
